BNLD presented at the CSO Governance Community of practice regional meeting in Belgrade

The member of BNLD, the European association for local democracy - ALDA took part in the two day CSO Governance Community of practice regional meeting, organized by EU TACSO 3 in Belgrade, Serbia on the 11 and 12 may 2023.

The aim of the meeting was to unite important stakeholders from the Western Balkan region and Turkey to share the best regional and EU experience on the topic of CSO governance and to create a Governance Community of practice.

At this working meeting Milena Dimitrovska-Zurovska shared ALDA’s EU and regional experiences in CSO governance, its challenges and transforming approaches. She talked about the development of the network, the activities and shared about the different approaches that ALDA practices during its work in the region, and how they helped the network grow outside its original Western Balkan borders. She also talked about the creation of the Balkan network for local democracy, its experience and mission in the region. 

BNLD will continue to cooperate with the professionals from the region and create partnerships in order to ensure the development of the Western Balkans and Turkey on its way to the EU.
