Youth Engagement Initiative of LDA Prijedor Ивана Велкова / Monday, August 15, 2022 / Categories: News On March 2020, Jovana Bigovic, the intern from Montenegro, spent one month in Prijedor fully integrated in the LDA Prijedor’s team. This was the official start of The Internship program of the Regional Youth Compact for Europe. The internship program aims to provide a framework for young people in the region to gain firsthand experience about the functioning of CSOs and the work they do, but also to assist in finding out and establishing innovative and youth friendly forms and content of communication, leading to increased youth participation in civil initiatives, policy design, and structured dialogue. LDA Prijedor, within this project, encouraged young people from Prijedor to write several blogs on life and work during a pandemic, as well as of the rights of persons belonging to vulnerable groups. Regional Youth Compact for Europe is implemented by the Center for Democracy Foundation, the European ALDA network and ALDA – Western Balkans Network for Local Democracy, CRTA, Youth Act and Sodem. This project is funded by the European Union and the Balkan Trust for Democracy, a project of the German Marshall Fund of the United States.
